Become your own energy worker

Our Reiki Master Teacher teaches all levels of Usui Reiki in our Washington, D.C. office. We think learning in small groups is best so we typically schedule classes when there is a core group of interested students. What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient spiritual healing art but it is not affiliated with any religion. The word Reiki is made up of two characters in Japanese: rei, meaning the essence of everything in the universe and ki, meaning life force energy. In other words, Reiki is universal life force energy that flows through all living things. Physical and emotional health problems can arise when our energy becomes stagnant, blocked or agitated. Reiki practitioners are trained to rebalance and channel this energy to stimulate the body’s own healing response.

 

Reiki can be used to promote relaxation, maintain wellness and assist with all types of health complaints. It is particularly recommended for stress and anxiety-related health issues. In some cases of severe illness, Reiki may improve quality of life and comfort and it is increasingly used in hospital and hospice settings. Children and pets are particularly open and receptive to this energy. A Reiki session typically lasts 60 minutes. Practitioners place their hands gently on or close to the body. About the training

In our Reiki level 1 training you will learn how to channel Reiki energy, the benefits of Reiki, its ethical guidelines, how to give a Reiki treatment and the history of Reiki. You will also receive a Reiki treatment! Handouts will be provided. Upon successful completion of a course you will receive a Practitioner certificate for your level. Level 1 students also receive a Reiki book. In Reiki 2 training students learn to send energy at a distance. Reiki energy also becomes more powerful following level 2 attunements. Reiki 3 training is for students wishing to become Reiki Masters, thus requiring a genuine and serious commitment to Reiki principles. Reiki energy is also enhanced.

 

Wear comfortable clothing for the training, which start promptly at 9 a.m., and bring a notepad and pen. Lunch is not provided but there are many excellent restaurants in the area.

 

A minimum of two students is required for each class and each enrollment is limited to four students. The cost is $250 if paid at least one week in advance or $275 the day of the training for Levels 1 & 2. Payment in full is required in order to reserve your space.
